Dr Marjan Khajehei holds Bachelor's and Master's degree in Midwifery and a PhD in Public Health. She has over 24 years experience working in the area of women's and newborn's health in clinical, educational and research capacities.Currently, she is Conjoint Senior Lecturer at the University of New South Wales, Principal Research Fellow at the University of Sydney and Clinical Midwifery Consultant at Westmead Hospital.

Marjan has more than a decade experience in mixed-methods research and designing, coordinating, conducting and monitoring clinical trials across contract research organisations(CROs), non-profit organisations, hospitals and academic settings. She has also contributed to the voluntary peer-review of scientific papers submitted for publication in scholarly journals. These experiences have enabled her to contribute to the development and application of a variety of study designs and data collection methods.She has mentored clinical staff to develop research questions, design the study and conduct the research. Further to her research skills, she has extensive experience in attracting grants, both nationally and internationally.
