Sydney Children's Hospital Clinical Research Centre
The Sydney Children’s Hospital Clinical Research Centre (SCHCRC) supports research into infant, child and adolescent health, in a range of therapeutic areas and clinical trial phases.
Our Mission
Children experience disease differently to adults.
Therefore the treatments required must be tailored for children.
Our research is central to finding the best way to prevent disease and treat children to give them the healthiest possible start to life.
What we do
The services we provide include initiating and conducting clinical trials of new therapies to explore the safety and effectiveness of promising new treatments, determine how existing treatments can be used most efficiently, and research including bio banks and observational studies.
Our vision
To lead in the design and conduct of paediatric clinical research with a focus in quality, efficiency and performance.
